Kati Means: The Waste Area    Basti  Means: Holding

Kati Basti is an Ayurvedic oil therapy for the low back. This treatment consists of an Organic flour, made into a dough creating a reservoir that is placed over the lumbar spine and sacrum. Organic warm medicated herbal oils are poured inside the reservoir, concentrating the healing benefits of the oil where you need it most. You will be left feeling deeply grounded and relaxed.

The temperature of the oil is maintained, and when it's cooled off, the process is repeated.

Once this part of the treatment is over, the affected area may be gently massaged, followed by a steaming for 10-15 minutes for better absorption of the medicine. It is usually done in a course of 5 to 7 days as required according to an Ayurvedic Practitioner.
